Catching up with Juneathon

OK, I thought when I signed up for Juneathon that I’d be able to blog daily. Obviously, I haven’t. All of my faithful readers know that they haven’t seen one of my blogs show up in their email or reader every day.

Eagle Marsh in spring

Eagle Marsh in spring

To catch up, Tuesday was another long urban hike. We took the dogs north from our house along the river to the bridge near the Coliseum then back down the other side, a 4 1/2-mile walk. Wednesday, I went out the Little River Wetlands Project office adjacent to Eagle Marsh, a 16 miles by bike round trip, then in the afternoon, went to my son’s soccer practice at Foster Park, a round trip that saw me ride 17 miles. So on Wednesday, I rode 33 miles. Thursday, I got up and ran 3 miles then joined my wife and son at Lions Park for a homeschool get-together.  That was  4  miles round trip by bike. Plus, my 5-plus miles ride to and from work. So all in all, it’s been a busy week exercise-wise.
