#Janathon Day 3: Walking the dogs, a bike ride

On Monday, I took the dogs — a 9-year-old German Short-haired pointer and a 12-year-old pointer-terrier mix — on a couple mile walk. The GSH is go-go-go. The other dog is stop, sniff, pee. Stop, sniff, pee. Walking them together can be a challenge.

The sun was out and the temperatures were in the mid-60s, unusually cool for these parts. The dog walk was really uneventful. No pulling squirrels out of a shrub, as happened a few weeks ago when we had the GSH out. No eating goose poop as the pointer-terrier mix likes to do.

After lunch, I rode my bike to work. I didn’t ride home for supper as my wife and son came downtown and we had a picnic supper at the community center — stuffed acorn squash.

In all, I rode 5.75 miles Monday. The plan is to get up early and go for a short run Tuesday. I better get to bed.
